So, you've started learning French, and you can get by in a number of situations, but how many times have you asked a question and been completely stumped by a long answer in fast French, often in a regional accent which you find difficult to understand?
Enter Coffee Break French To Go! We've asked the same question to several people, and through listening to their answers you'll develop a solid understanding of French in a variety of contexts. You'll learn to use the constructions native speakers use in your own conversations, and you'll experience a wide range of accents and speaking speeds.
How the course works
In each episode, our presenter Pierre-Benoît is out and about in his home town of Pornic,, talking to native speakers. He asks one question to lots of people, so through hearing their answers you'll pick up new vocabulary, learn new constructions, and build your comprehension.
You'll see the interviews in each episode twice: the first time you can concentrate on trying to understand the spoken word, and the second time you'll see subtitles in French to help you further. A set of lesson notes is provided for each episode, featuring a transcript of the interviews and language notes to help you understand what each interviewee says.
The answers range from fairly straightforward responses to long, complex answers. With the help of the subtitles and our lesson notes, you'll understand everything.
